wire and Tube Southeast Asia 2017 celebrates success on opening day with a dynamic, industry-focused line-up




Guest-of-honour Mr. Kobchai Sungsitthisawad (fifth from the left), Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry graced the grand opening of wire and Tube Southeast Asia 2017. Day 1: 19 September. The opening of wire and Tube Southeast 2017 – the international wire, cable, tube and pipe trade fairs for Southeast Asia was officiated by Mr Kobchai Sungsitthisawad, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Industry, alongside industry partners and supporting organizations this morning. In his opening speech, Mr Sungsitthisawad said he was very impressed with the excellent international turnout across the sectors and the strong business interest in Thailand as the country moves towards Thailand 4.0.

As the region’s leading exhibitions of its sectors, visiting manufacturers, processors, engineers and buyers had the opportunity to network and forge new business collaborations with over 400 participating exhibitors from 30 countries, including national pavilions and country groups from Austria, China, France, Germany, Italy, Taiwan, UK and USA – made easier with the complimentary business matching service.

The healthy turnout of international and local visitors and visiting delegations from Vietnam, India, Japan were greeted by vibrant show floors abuzz with activities. These included a wide-ranging exhibit range that covered innovative machinery in manufacturing, processing and finishing, fastener technology, new processes in measuring, control and test engineering and specialist areas, upgraded tools and auxiliary materials to meet procurement and sourcing needs, as well as free-admission technical presentations and live machine demonstrations by exhibitors.
